Office Plan
Due to a combination of public holidays and staff annual leave, Action in Mind’s service provision will be reduced over the festive period. The office is closed to the public between Mon 27th Dec – Fri 7th Jan except by pre-arranged meeting.
Mon 27th/Tues 28th December and Mon 3rd/Tues 4th January are public holidays, so the office will be fully closed on these days.
Wed 29th Dec and Wed 5th Jan – you will be able to reach us via phone on these days by calling 01786 451203.
Thurs 30th/Fri 31st December and Thurs 6th/Fri 7th January – our answer machine will be on all day, however staff in the office will check for messages.
If you are an existing service user, please specify which service you use and/or who your support worker is.
If you require support during the festive period and can’t get through to us, please phone NHS 24 on 111, Breathing Space on 0800 83 85 87, Samaritans on 116 123, or the emergency services if you are concerned for your own or someone else’s safety.
Befriending Plan
The service manager finishes on Wed 22nd December and returns to work on Mon 10th January.
Some volunteers are continuing to provide support to service users over the festive period, and have been briefed on what to do in case of emergency. Volunteers have also been issued with guidance around what to do if covid restrictions change.
Counselling Plan
The counselling service will only operate by pre-arranged appointment over the festive period. If you need support, please refer to the phone numbers listed above.
Home Support Plan
The service continues to operate across the whole of the festive period, 7 days per week, with some reduced support in particular on Christmas Day, Boxing Day & public holidays, similarly across the New Year period too.
This has been planned and each service user requiring support suitably covered within a reduced workforce. Some staff are on annual leave and others are sharing the provision of cover fairly so that all of the team receive some time off during the public holidays.
Hub Plan
Hub groups will not be taking place in the office or out in the community, however phone and Zoom support is available. All service users will be sent Zoom details, and can contact the Hub Support Worker via phone and email too if support is required.
The service manager finishes on Thurs 23rd December and returns on Wed 5th January.
Rural Outreach Plan
The service manager finishes Wed 22nd December and returns Wed 5th January. Should any service users require urgent support during this time, please phone our office. We will contact the Rural worker for you, who will contact you via her work phone. You can also refer to the phone numbers listed above.
